[The way she says it isn't in a confrontational manner. It's a compassionate tone, one that says that even if he didn't admit to being cursed, she's already forgiven him for Sookie, and by extension, Elena]

She guesses it can't be worse than doing nothing at all and tries not to think about how much of a lie that is. Peeta can be too trusting but she isn't in a position to protest and the truth is that they have to take any opportunity they can to fix this without making a deal. Deals cost things and they have exactly nothing to offer and the idea of being alone but not alone is suddenly as painful as the burning, shredding feeling in the pit of her stomach, a fever in the length of her throat that keys into the bruises all over her unnaturally pale skin. Worse than that maybe is that she keeps seeing things, pocketed images in the corners of her eyes both when she opens them and when she chooses to keep them shut. So far she has kept her mouth shut about said things. People. Prim. Gale. Rue even...she can't decide which is worse.

At present she waits because there is nothing else she can think of doing, not letting her gaze flicker to Peeta at the mouth of the cave, ignoring the smell of the blood he tried to give her the day before. Hunger is no stranger to her and though this is of a different kind she has managed to refuse. As to what this person coming to them might offer, she has no idea, hasn't asked. It's easier--if any part of this can be thought of as easy--to go inward, safer, so that's what she does for now. Biding time with the rustle of trees and night sounds muffled in the distance.

Frankie stays a moment at the edge, waiting for his eyes to adjust, trading a few low words with the young man from the Network, before he comes inside. He isn't afraid; he's tired, a little drawn from having helped others before this, but really Frankie doesn't feel he has anything to fear. He wonders if Ed felt like this, going into Bromley's den-- he knows he doesn't feel the same, facing down his own squad, but that's different.

"Katniss?" he calls out as he gets close, because though he isn't scared he's not stupid, either; and for any number of reasons he'd rather not get bitten tonight. If she hasn't eaten, she must be in bad shape by now. "My name's Frankie. Here to help you."
