Look. I don't know how many of you there are now, I can't remember everything... but... I know I attacked people over the weekend. I wasn't-- I can't say I wasn't myself, but I wasn't who I am now. I was lost and sick and fucked up.

[Awkward pause, Frankie's not really the sort for public apologies but he probably owes one at this point...]

The important thing is-- I can fix it. If you got bit, if I did or someone I bit got you... I can fix you. Just... don't bite anyone else and let me know where I can find you.

[As he switches off, under his breath-- probably to himself, he mutters,] not too late.

What'd you do?

Yelled a lot. Called yeh names. Swore in Irish.

I didn' know where yeh were.

[Frankie just laughs at that, because well, it's not entirely surprising.]

[She looks up at him and has a slight scowl for a second, then it softens away]

I'm pissed at meself. For bein' angry at yeh.

I disappeared for two days and tried to eat three people. I think you have the right.

[He's not much madder at himself than usual, really; at least this he can fix, unlike other things he's done.]

Yeh were cursed. It's not fuckin' fair.

Not fair to the people I infected, either. Or to Amory.

[He shrugs a little and rubs her back absently. Honestly, he's pretty calm, at this point; it's just a matter of finding out how much he needs to bleed to fix things.]

I don' care about them.

[Selfish, maybe, but honest]

[Responsibility, it is a pain in the ass sometimes. But overall he thinks he's better off these days for having taken it. Still, right now all he wants to do is hold Eden a bit closer, so for right now he does.]

[And she's jealous and hurt that he didn't remember her even though it's not his fault and she can't say any of that]

[She's finally moving her arms around his waist]

Seems like it'd be fair if I did.

[He leans his cheek on the side of her head, considering.]

Rather not though. 'Sides, I'm willing to bet the idea would make half of 'em sick.

[She sort of holds onto his shirt. Her voice is sort of stubborn, no less]

[He takes his other hand off the counter, flicks of as much of the flour as he can, and runs it through her hair.]

I can do it with a knife, I know how to be clean about it.

[She only marginally likes that better]

[He's not big on it either, but well. There aren't that many choices.]

[She shrugs a bit]

[He manages to sound utterly solemn, smirking as he shifts his arms low to circle her waist.]

[Well to her credit it probably would've healed up before the weekend was out. Though then she might have had to raid the blood bank for him.]

I was kind of fuckin' pissed.

[He looks down with a funny expression, somewhat amused but largely perplexed, because, Eden, your violent impulses can be a little scary.]

Glad you didn't do it.

[Hey at least she didn't try to shoot you. She sort of disengages from Frankie to get back on her feet and starts to wrap the dough she'd been battering to rise]

So yeh'll be a bit busy with this, yeah?

[He lets go when she tries to get away, going back to resting on the counter. At least she is not trying to use the dough to beat a hole through the countertop anymore.]

Yeah. Tonight at least, I'm guessing... Maybe longer if there're a lot of them.

[He frowns, not much liking the idea of spending the foreseeable future bleeding himself for strangers, but.]
